The dedication of the old Cornville Post Office & Store will take place at Windmill Gardens, located 9550 E. Cornville Rd., on Saturday, June 24, at 10 a.m.

What's Happening: June 18, 2017

At 3 p.m. Sunday, June 25, come listen to popular entertainer Eric Williams at the Rainbow Acres Palmer Community Center, at 2120 W. Reservation Loop Road in Camp Verde. Williams, who has played in the Verde Valley for more than 20 years, is a popular entertainer who many consider a delight in that he carries his one man show with a variety of instruments while singing and entertaining. He plays the piano, guitar, saxophone, harmonica and other instruments. Just a smorgasbord of audio delights. A local favorite, this accomplished musician, composer and recording artist has an extensive repertoire in jazz, blues, rock and popular songs of the 1920s through todays more modern hits. Come join us at Rainbow Acres and enjoy a special performance on our beautiful ranch. The Palmer Community Center is air conditioned, has a performance stage and we guarantee a great time. Cornfest means time for volunteers The annual Cornfest is scheduled for July 14-15. And Camp Verde Promotions is looking for lots of volunteers. Volunteers will work two-hour shifts because of the heat, so we need lots of brave people, says Bobbie Tennant of Camp Verde Promotions. Volunteer sheets are available online at campverdepromotions.org.

What's Happening: June 11, 2017

Cottonwood Contra Dance is on the move again -- this month the dance will be on Saturday, June 17th, at Cottonwood Elementary School gymnasium, 301 N. Willard St in Cottonwood, AZ, right next door to last month’s Clemenceau building. The band this month is Under the Bridge with Sonja Whisman and Emily Millhouse on fiery fiddles fueled by Ron Barton on his galvanizing, toe-tapping guitar. Michael Barraclough will call the dances. Be sure to arrive at 6:30 to learn the basic moves and then dance until 10. All dances are taught and called.   If you can walk, you can contra!  No partner or experience is necessary. What's Happening: May 24, 2017

Remember the fun swingin’ music of the 1940’s? Well, it’s back! EF Productions presents the 17th Annual Celebrate America: 1940s USO Holiday Radio Show, June 23-25 at 7pm nightly. Join us as we take you back in time to December in the 1940s. The show recreates a World War II USO canteen where soldiers would be fed and entertained.

Old Town Center for the Arts is pleased to host, the 12th Annual Bob Dylan Birthday Party Concert. Bob Dylan was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature on December 10, 2016, and he and his music will be honored right here in Cottonwood at the 12th Annual Bob Dylan Birthday Concert on Saturday, May 20, at 7 p.m., at the Old Town Center for the Arts in Cottonwood.
