Valley police agencies to beef <br>up DUI enforcement in December

December is National Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month. This is a nationwide campaign to reduce the number of impaired drivers and alcohol/drug-related accidents.

In an effort to keep citizens safe this holiday season, the Cottonwood Police Department is teaming up with Verde Valley law enforcement agencies to provide saturation patrols. These saturation patrols are targeting any driving behavior that may lead to the arrest of impaired drivers. These patrols will occur every weekend beginning Thanksgiving weekend and will continue through the first of the year.

Besides the Cottonwood Police Department the following agencies are dedicating manpower to this endeavor: Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, Clarkdale Police Department, Jerome Police Department, Sedona Police Department and the Department of Public Safety.
