John Edward Gibbs

Camp Verde resident John Gibbs died June 2, 2001

He was born June 12, 1951 in Phoenix.

Mr. Gibbs was 49 years old.

A retired plasterer, Mr. Gibbs was a resident of Camp Verde for 20 years.

He was a graduate of Cortez High School in Phoenix.

Survivors include his daughter, Lindie Lee Love of Phoenix; one sister, Gloria Dobbs of Kingman; his parents, William and Lois Gibbs of Camp Verde and two grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled June 7 at 9 a.m. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix.

Lewis H. Wilbur

A memorial service is scheduled Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Westcott Funeral Home for Cottonwood resident and Air Force Veteran Lewis Henry Wilbur.

Mr. Wilbur died June 4.

He was born June 11, 1927 in Vestal, New York.

Mr. Wilbur had an outstanding 20-year military career in the U.S. Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the Handy Man Club and was a good father, and a good friend to all those he met.

Survivors include two daughters, Maryann Evans of San Diego and Lois Kay Cox of Yuma; two sons, Lewis H. Wilbur of Yuma and James E Wilbur of Tucson; three sisters, Emma Adams of New York, Carlene Oliver of Pennsylvania and Linda Parnussie of New York; two brothers, Elwyn B. Wilbur of Florida and Perry Wilbur of New York; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His wife, Robbie Betts Wilbur and a brother Bryce E. Wilbur Jr. both preceded Mr. Wilbur in death.
