It’s a very BEAR-y Holiday! — Dec. 12, 9:30, 10:45 a.m., and 12:45 p.m. The Marionette bears are coming to Big Park Elementary School, 25 W. Saddlehorn Court. All of Big Park and family and friends are invited, thanks to new principal Steven Gardner. Holiday Silent Auction — Dec. 12, 5-7 p.m. Beautiful holiday decorations and festive live music will combine with yummy refreshments to create a special Holiday Silent Auction at Sedona Arts Center, 15 Art Barn Road. Twenty-five local artists have donated pieces for the silent auction, ranging from jewelry to pottery to wall art. This special holiday event continues through Dec. 12 in the Members Gallery at the Arts Center, closing with a chocolate and champagne reception on Dec. 12. Holiday Dinner/Dance Celebration — Dec. 12, 6 p.m. Y.E.S. the Arc is soliciting donations (i.e., monetary services, unique items, and gift certificates) to be raffled and auctioned at its annual fund raiser at Sedona Hilton Resort. Tickets are $45 per person and are tax deductible. Please drop off donations at the Arc, 415 S. Willard St., Cottonwood by Dec. 7. For pick-up arrangements, call Annette Corbin at 274-1725. Y.E.S. the Arc is a community-based organization that offers programs and services to enhance independence, self-esteem and values among those with developmental disabilities.

Sedona International Film Festival Launch — Dec. 4, 4:30 p.m. The Sedona International Film Festival and Workshop is having a launch for its 10th Anniversary season in its new offices in Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village off Arizona 179. Make Your Own Beauty and Body Care Products — Dec. 4, 7 p.m. You don’t have to spend lots of time and money on holiday gifts this season. Join Cindy Gray as she demonstrates recipes for simple yet scrumptious, all natural body care and beauty care products. Holiday Cooking Workshop — Dec. 12-15. The Cozy Cactus will bring renowned chef, author and cooking school founder Loretta Paganini to Sedona. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year— Dec. 5, 7 p.m.; Dec. 6, 2 and 4:30 p.m. Sedona Showstoppers (formerly Grannies on the Rocks with their Sugar Daddies) announces that the Senior Performing Troupe will perform its first holiday family musical comedy written and directed to entertain kids of all ages. The show will last about an hour. The comedy will be held at Mingus Union High School Auditorium in Cottonwood. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at all Bashas' stores in Camp Verde, Cottonwood and Sedona as well as Casa de Sedona in the Prime Outlets in VOC/Big Park, and at Sedona Books and Music. New Monsoon — Dec. 5, 7:30 p.m. New Monsoon is San Francisco's premier jam band. Inspired by Latin, Indian, funk, and bluegrass music, New Monsoon spans the globe in their musical influence and charges the atmosphere with energy and vibe. "Off the Grid" - Chris Spheeris in Concert — Dec. 5-6, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Internationally renowned recording artist Chris Spheeris presents a concert of music, spoken word and perspective from outside the box. With special guests Zirque Bonner on bass and Eric Zang on exotic percussion and flutes. Chris will debut two or three pieces of music written within the last month.
