DISTANT DRUMS RV Park is located off Interstate 17 at Exit 289 in Camp Verde.

Centrally located in the Verde Valley, the new RV park is south of Sedona, east of Cottonwood, just two minutes off Interstate 17 in Camp Verde. To enter the park, take Exit 289, the same exit as the Cliff Castle Casino and Middle Verde Road. The park’s water tower has the resort’s name on it and can clearly be seen from the interstate.

Phase I provides 158 spaces available for recreational vehicles, such as motor homes and fifth wheels.

Amenities include electric hookups (20, 30 and 50 amp), satellite dishes with 22 channels, phones, voice mail, laundry (using debit cards instead of coins), a fitness room, a convenience store, a pool, a Jacuzzi, a community room, six showers and restrooms with two for handicapped.

According to Davis, there will be two managers living on site, Lori Martinez and Carmen Vaccarella. The front desk will be open tentatively from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. People arriving after hours can still check in and pay later. The flat rate is $30/per day plus tax with a special monthly rate of $480.

To make reservations, call toll free (877) 577-5507 or locally at 554-0444 or just drive in, based on available space. You can also make reservations on the Web site at http://www.distantdrumsrvresort.com

The new Distant Drums RV Resort is owned by Pelican Development.
