Agoglia elected new VVPOA president

The Verde Village Property Owners Association has a new president.

Elections were held Monday night for the organization that oversees the residential area just outside of Cottonwood's city limits.

Ron Agoglia was selected for the top post. A number of unit directors were also selected, according to the 2004 president Rick Morgan.

Morgan will serve as a director for Verde Village unit 7 in 2005. He said many of the unit directors from 2004 stayed in place.

At the board's next meeting a vice president, secretary and treasurer will be selected. The board consists of the unit directors and top officers and board member meetings are held the first Monday each month.

Morgan said about 30 families showed up to vote. Each household gets one vote and only VVPOA members are able to vote.

A year ago when Morgan was first elected to his post, he said dwindling membership was a big problem for the association.

The low number of volunteers is still an issue today.

"There are always challenges," Morgan said. "You always want to get more members and more member volunteers."

Agoglia was unavailable for immediate comment.
