Donna Arlene Rodgers passed away at Kachina Point Health Care Facility in the Sedona July 2.
July 2, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
She was born on a farm in
Fairmont, Nebraska, July 14, 1925, and graduated from Exeter High School in 1943. She married Alden Rodgers on April 12, 1944.
The family moved to Castle Rock, Colo., where they operated a successful business for several years. In 1968 they moved to Arizona eventually relocating to the Verde Valley area in 2000.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Iva Bickert and is survived by her husband of 64 years, Alden; six daughters, Patricia Meis and husband Frank of Cornville, Nancy Rodgers of Cottonwood; Mary Webb and husband Darrell of Boise, Idaho, Linda Lombardo and husband Steve of Crown King; Catherine Densmore of Cornville and Joan Gentile and husband Mike of Port Charlotte, Fla.; brother, Jerry Bickert and wife Phyllis of Lincoln, Neb.; four grand children, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m., July 8, at the Exeter Cemetery in Exeter, Neb. Arrangements are in charge of the Farmer Funeral Home in Exeter, Neb.
