On Thursday, April 30, Rev. David Sanfilipi, vicar general of the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix, administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 68 candidates, including an adult convert, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 781 S. Cliffs Parkway.
Later in the Mass 61 of those candidates received their First Holy Communion.
During the Homily, Rev. Sanfilipi reminded the overflowing congregation how the Holy Spirit changed the lives of the Apostles at Pentecost and the importance of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the continued growth in one's catholic faith. After Mass, Rev. Sanfilipi and Pastor Fr. Rey Clutario posed for photographs with the sacrament recipients and visited their families and friends.
Over all, the activity was a resounding success with an overflow crowd with standing room only and untold camera flashes.
