Four churches form community Vacation Bible School

Four Sedona Churches are cooperating in a community Vacation Bible School. The churches are Christ Center Wesleyan, Sedona United Methodist Church, St. John Vianney Catholic Church and The Church of the Red Rocks. The Vacation Bible School will be held June 8-12 from 5-8 p.m. at St. John Vianney Church on Soldier Pass Road in Sedona.

The program is set on Crocodile Dock on the bayou. It is open to children from 3 year olds to those entering grade 6. Children ages 3-5 will be in Rocky's Preschool Playhouse in a self-contained program. Children in grades K-6 will be placed in multi-age bayou crews where they'll gather for dinner at the Snack Shack, experience Sing & Play Swamp Stomp, explore Bible Bayou, play Gator Games, view Chadder's Dockside Drive-in Theater, visit Crawfish & Missions, and end the day with Firefly Finale.

Participants will contribute to a program to benefit local children through Old Town Mission in Cottonwood.

The cost is $10 for one child with $15 being charged for a family unit of more than one child in a family. Enrollment is limited due to space, staffing, and materials needed so pre-registration is a good idea. Contact Betty McGinnis at St. John Vianney (928) 282-7545.
