Camp Verde DUI stop uncovers drug sales

CAMP VERDE -- Two women driving near Camp Verde High School made police suspicious Wednesday night. Because of their activity, deputies asked for permission for a drug dog to sniff the vehicle. Cottonwood K9 Rio alerted on the driver's side door.

Officers arrested 42-year-old Natalie Yeargain of the Phoenix area and 32-year-old Jeramie Herrick on charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of a weapon during a drug offense, aggravated DUI and other charges.

According to the report, the drugs were recovered from Yeargain's purse. She allegedly was found with 14 grams of methamphetamine and 10 grams of marijuana as well as prescription pills. Officers also recovered three baggies - or three eight balls -- of meth and 25-30 white pills, believed to be oxycodone.

The arrests were made by the Camp Verde Marshal's deputies with the help of a Cottonwood Police K9 and PANT.
