Letter: Republicans, Democrats -- they are all politicians

Editor:

Financial and military collapse: Dale Gohr hit the nail on the head. As I just read in the WSJ, corrupt political and legal environments cause under development in poorer countries ... and unfortunately, economic favoritism and cronyism exist in advanced democracies.

Now in response to Mr. Bond's vitriolic letter a month or so ago, I find it hard to believe he would continue to reside here in the Verde Valley with all of the nasty greedy Republicans he complained about. Whatever he said about the Republicans is equally true of the Democrats. They are all politicians.  What he and many others don't seem to realize is that the politicians are merely trying to keep their jobs and thoroughly spending money as long as it's not theirs.

As more and more small businesses disappear from our valley and your paper is ever full of public notice of home foreclosures and business closings plus higher unemployment claims each week, you can see how Obama is moving us forward as promised to collapse.  The WSJ also touts the fact that the United States is poised to become a global gas superpower. But this story is about to enter a new phase, one in which success will depend on whether and how well the White House prepares the way for exports of America's energy bounty.

It is interesting to note that Obama has on his desk eight applications from companies wishing to build Liquid Natural Gas distribution centers which would provide thousands of new high-paying jobs and a bonanza of tax money for our national coffers and they have been there waiting for his action for almost a year.

But he was busy campaigning and now that that's over it's the gun law controversy. There's always something that keeps him from creating jobs.  If he had created jobs he could have become the greatest president ever but instead we got Obama Care, a job killer, higher taxes and now he wants unlimited spending authority with a severely diminished military and more social spending.  Yes, financial and military collapse is very possible.

Politicians have brought us to this point and will keep us there until we demand honesty in Washington. The real people running the country are the Liberal Progressive Elites who are Rhinos and Dinos, reps and dems in name only, in order to be on the ballot for elections.

Both parties are really dead and don't know it.  So there ought to be two honest parties the Progressives and the Constitutionalists and then we could be honest when we vote our choice and get people in office that will do what will help all the people in the country and not just the politicians and the very wealthy.
