Camp Verde P&Z holds special session Thursday

CAMP VERDE - Simonton Ranch owner Scott Simonton recently promised to donate a 9.28-acre parcel of land and sell an additional 6-acre parcel to the Verde Valley Archaeology Center.

At Thursday's special session, the Town's Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to discuss a request by Simonton to rezone that parcel, which includes an additional 6.59 acres, from planned area development (PAD) to commercial.

Simonton's request would constitute a minor amendment the General Plan. The parcel, 403-23-104F, is located at the east end of N. Homestead Parkway.

Also Thursday, the Commission will hold a public hearing to discuss a new use permit for the Krazy K RV Park, located at 2075 N. Arena del Loma. The owners, Steve and Marlys Parks, want to expand services at Krazy K.

The Nov. 6 special session will be held at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers, 473 S. Main St. #106. A copy of the Planning and Zoning Commission's agenda is available at:
