Three men arrested in child-adult prostitution sting

The Yavapai Sheriff's Office and other of law enforcement partners arrested three men in a prostitution enforcement sting last Saturday in the Village of Oak Creek area. The sting is intended to provide a deterrence to those who would solicit children for sex.

The three adult men were arrested and booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center after they requested sex acts and made an offer or presented payment in the hotel room.

Those arrested include a 40-year-old man from Utah, charged with one count of engaging in prostitution, a misdemeanor, by soliciting a law enforcement officer posing as an adult prostitute he believed to be 19 years old. He is in in-custody on a $5,000 bond.

Also arrested was Luigi Galea, 30, of Flagstaff, charged with one felony as well as one misdemeanor count of engaging in child prostitution for engaging in prostitution by soliciting two law officers posing as 17 and 20-year-old prostitutes. He has since been released on a $25,000 bond.

Jefferson Perales, 28, from Sedona, was also charged with engaging in felony child prostitution by soliciting a law enforcement officer posing as a 16-year-old prostitute. He has since been released on a $25,000 bond.

YCSO conducted the operation to target the buyers of child and adult prostitutes and was joined by Prescott PD, Cottonwood PD, Gang Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission task force (GITEM - DPS), Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT), and the Department of Homeland Security.
