Obituary: William 'Bill' Bowden

William "Bill" Bowden of Cottonwood passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. He was 88 years old. Bill was born on January 18, 1927 in Atlanta, GA to William and Martha Bowden.

Bill attended ASU and served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He worked as a real estate broker and was a member of Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona, AZ.

He spent 15 years as a commissioner for the Cottonwood Parks and Recreation Department.

Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn of Cottonwood; his daughters, Martha Robertson of Tempe, AZ and Karen (Gary) Young of Glade Valley, NC; his brother Stanley (Kitty) Bowden of Toccoa, GA; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held for Bill at the Cottonwood Village Auditorium, located at 201 E. Mingus Ave. in Cottonwood, at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015.
