CAMP VERDE - Paul Clawson has always been an overachiever.

The kid that always went above and beyond, at least according to his mom, Camp Verde Town Council member Robin Whatley.

Clawson was raised in Camp Verde, and graduated from Camp Verde High School in 1998.

After high school, Clawson joined the United States Air Force.

He is currently stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Clawson earned a degree in law from Arizona State University, after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Berea College in Kentucky, and earning his post-graduate degree from Kyushu University in Japan.

Recently he was selected by the Air Force to attend George Washington University in Washington D.C. to earn a Master of Laws degree in Environmental Law.

Once he has completed the one-year program, Clawson hopes to work in the Environmental Law field for the Air Force.

He is also a distinguished graduate from Squadron Officer School.

Clawson and his wife Rebekah have two children. Silas, born in 2013, and Carrissa Danielle Cathlynn, born in 2015.
