Letter: It’s not just Trump’s words but his deeds as well

Editor:

No, Mr. Barber (VI 10/14), this is definitely not 1960 when a twice divorced man wouldn’t have a chance at being a major party candidate.

But Mr. Barber misses the point – it’s not just Trumps words, but his actions that are offensive, as well as his tirades against Mexicans, Muslims, Blacks, and his really vicious, unrelenting attacks on Hillary Clinton (who, by the way, is not my ideal choice either), that should eliminate him from the running, rather than turn him into someone’s warped idea of a hero. Only now does he pander to those groups he earlier attacked in a last ditch attempt to win them over.

I consider Mr. Trump to be the buffoon-in-chief, and a dangerous one at that. Really, is he the candidate you’d like to hold up as an example to our children? And to the rest of the world as the best America can do?
