Letter: Lions Club needs new members

Editor:

Over the years the Camp Verde Lions Club has help many in this community with glasses and other eye care needs.

A long with collecting used glasses to be used elsewhere in the world. The Camp Verde Lions Club is about service to others in need. Whether it is helping someone get glasses, or other eye care needs, or just helping someone in need the Lions Club is for you.

Whether its glasses, food or clothing, in order to service others in this community volunteers are needed in order to continue the fight against blindness and to help others.

The Camp Verde Lions Club is in need of new members. Over the years we have lost members and are in need of volunteers. Are you interested in making a difference in your community? Would you like to make a difference in the lives of others? Do you have great ideas that could benefit our community?

If volunteering in community service projects sounds like something you’d like to do, then the Camp Verde Lions Club would like to invite you to join us as a new member. The Camp Verde Lions Club is looking for new members, men and women and children to join their organization in the fight against blindness and help people in our community.

The Lions Club is well known for helping people get eyeglasses and other eye care needs in its fight against blindness.

One of the ways the Lions club raises money to help others is with their annual Fort Verde Days car show, along with raffles and an upcoming 4th of July barbeque.

The Camp Verde Lions Club is looking to do more for the Camp Verde community with Posters for Peace art contest for kids and starting a Leo club for children, to collecting food or clothing for people who could use a little extra help.

In order to continue to fight blindness and help our great community, the Lions Club of Camp Verde is looking for new volunteers. If you had ever thought of helping others or needed help at some point in life and want to give back the Lions Club is for you. All are welcome to our meetings and events.

Our Local Lions Club holds meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 6 pm. The meetings are held at the Camp Verde Library.

For more information about being a new member or need help with eye care please contact Club President Paul Estrada at 928-301-9331, P.O. Box 653, Camp Verde, Az. 86322, or via our email cvlionsclub1950@gmail.com.
