The Camp Verde Senior Center celebrated Christmas with a full course holiday ham dinner on Friday afternoon, December 21. The center was full as members of the community dined to the accompaniment of Christmas music performed by the duo, Geriatric Jazz. Santa and Mrs. Claus made a visit to hand out candy canes and wish all a Merry Christmas. Marion Savage, who is stepping down from her post as President of the center for the past 5 years, was honored with a plaque by staff and volunteers during the dinner. The Senior Center prides itself on producing home cooked meals at an affordable price, $4 for members and $5 for non-members (membership is $15 a year). Soup starts at 11:30 am Monday - Friday. The CVSC is located at 263 W. Maryville Dr., 567-6356.
