A Yavapai County hearing officer has order the Montezuma Rimrock Water Company to cease all operations of its controversial well in the Montezuma Estates subdivision and clear it lot of all improvements. If the work is not completed by Dec. 20 the company faces a $10,000 civil fine.

Controversial Rimrock well ordered to shut down

$10,000 fine assessed if lot not cleared by Dec. 20

A Yavapai County hearing officer has ordered the shutdown and dismantling of Montezuma Rimrock Water Company's controversial well in the Montezuma Estates subdivision.At a hearing on Nov. 13, Hearing Officer Charles Hastings ruled that the company had until Dec. 20 to "remove all outside storage including all structures and existing fencing and return the property to vacant land."
