The long awaited grand reopening of the historic Ranch House Restaurant of Lake Montezuma took place on Saturday, September 1. Scores of volunteers who helped make the dream a reality were on hand to bask in the appreciation given by a community grateful to have its treasured local landmark restored and open for business. Kala Pearson, President of the Ranch House Restaurant Coalition, led the dedications and ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured local luminaries as well as a collective of fully outfitted live Star Wars characters. Following the unveiling of the newly painted Ranch House sign, created by mural artist Ann Rhinehart, the doors to the restaurant were opened where a barbecue and live music greeted guests on the driving range patio. There are plans to open the golf course in 2013.
