Numerous nonprofits around the the Verde Valley are participating in the 24-hour donation drive Arizona Gives Day, including the Camp Verde Historical Society, which needs help repairing the Clear Creek Church, and the Verde Valley Archaeology Center, which is working to establish the Kids Discovery Center.

Call it strength in numbers. For one 24-hour period on March 20, Arizonans can see how much money they can raise for the state's nonprofit organizations. It's called Arizona Gives Day, and this is the first time it's been attempted.Several Camp Verde and Verde Valley organizations are participating. Local municipalities and Yavapai County have advanced proclamations on the event.
