At the end of March, Carl’s Jr. will officially open in Camp Verde. The fast-food restaurant will occupy the former Kentucky Fried Chicken and A&W Root Beer building at 362 N. Goswick Way. Each of the first 500 guests in line on opening day will receive a coupon book offering a free menu item every week for a year with the purchase of a breakfast combo, VVN/Bill Helm

Carl's Jr. comes to Camp Verde

AMP VERDE - In 1941, Margaret and Carl Karcher bought a hot dog cart with their savings. Less than five years later, they opened Carl's Drive-In BBQ in Anaheim, Calif.Today, Carl's Jr. and its sibling restaurant Hardee's, make up one of the largest fast-food chains in the country. At the end of March, two of Carl Karcher's grandsons will bring the fast-food restaurant to Camp Verde.
