Respect is one of the essential ingredients of all successful relationships. This includes communication between parent and child, teacher and student, employee and management, and all personal and business interactions.
American Futurist, systems theorist, and author Buckminister Fuller wrote, “Never forget that you are one of a kind. Never forget that if there weren’t any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn’t be here in the first place.
On my way out from the Humane Society, I saw one of our beautiful black Lab puppies on a leash with her new owner. It’s jet black coat was lustrous and shining in the sun. This was one amazing puppy. I asked her if she had other dogs and she told me that this was the second puppy that she adopted from the Humane Society. Obviously, she was ecstatic about this one and thankful she found her puppies here.
I read a story about a stray dog that ended up on the doorstep of a rancher. The dog was severely underweight and in need of food, a warm place to sleep, and lots of tender loving care.
As I watched from my office, a local family enthusiastically smiled, laughed, and then cried as one of our kennel staff brought them their lost dog. They didn’t have a secure fence and their 1-year old got out and was picked up by animal control.
